Day 6 - Twelve Days of Christmas Cards Challenge

We are halfway through our challenge! Day 6 and with so many inspirational designers already, you have surely started to link up your Christmas Cards!

You can enter as many times as you like! There are prizes up for grabs too! The linky tool will be open until 12pm on the 17th of December (AEST)

Here is the card that I am sharing with you today -

This card has a little hidden extra inside. I have created a gift card holder. With most of my family interstate, I find this is the easiest way to send presents. A gift card is perfect because they can use it on their own time :)

Here is a video tutorial for you on how to make this!

I can't wait to introduce the friend that is joining me for Day 6 -

Melissa is a wonderful friend and team mate from Addicted to Stamps and More! and Happy Little Stampers. Did you know that Melissa and I met earlier this year? I flew from Australia to the UK for the HLS Craft Retreat and Melissa drove from Germany with her family to be there. What an amazing weekend we had. Melissa is so kind and generous - she is always willing to help me out in whatever she could. I am so excited she is here to help inspire you.

This card was very easy to make. I die cut the 25 (Sizzix), cut it again with the coordinating circle and popped it up with little foam pieces cut to size. I stamped the Holly from the HLS Christmas Joy set and added some shine to my berries. Done!

I can't wait to introduce the friend that is joining me for Day 5 -

Kathy and I have been online friends for what feels like forever. The best thing was that we were able to meet earlier this year when I travelled over to the UK for the Happy Little Stampers Craft Retreat. Kathy is an awesome gal. She's funny and extremely creative. I'm so happy to have her join my Christmas Challenge.

I have used the new Christmas Joy set from Happy Little Stampers. I stamped the poinsettia twice and coloured it in (just with sharpie markers). I outlined the images with a Spectrum Noir Marker (IG2) to give them a little depth. Using a white gel pen, I gave the flowers more interest.

I can't wait to introduce the friend that is joining me for Day 4 -

Carol and I have been friends for AGES! Carol is on the Addicted to Stamps and More! team and has recently acquired a position over at Happy Little Stampers and will be starting in 2017. You really need to check out her blog. She makes amazing cards!

I've created my own little Winter Forest here with gold coloured Christmas Trees up front. I used the HLS Christmas Joy stamp set and masked off trees as I stamped. It was very easy! I used white and gold ink for my splats.

I can't wait to introduce the friend that is joining me for Day 3 -

Barb and I have a long history being together at Addicted to Stamps and More! and Addicted to CAS. Barb is an amazing designer and friend. Without her help over at ATCAS, I would be lost. I'm so happy that she is joining me for this challenge.

Barb is a superb colourist! Don't you just love those gorgeous images. Did you see the bell on the reindeer? LOVE this card!

I also have wonderful sponsors joining us!

Hi everyone! I am so excited! Today is the first day of my 12 Days of Christmas Cards challenge. That's right - you are going to be delighted with 12 straight days of Christmas cards! Not only that, but I have been joined by 12 of my friends from around blogland who are helping inspire you and encourage you to get those Christmas cards done :)

Here is the card that I am sharing with you today -

I have used my new stamps from Happy Little Stampers called Christmas Joy. I LOVE Christmas. Sometimes it is a very quiet affair due to not being able to catch up with my family scattered across the country BUT I always make the most of it - decorations, food, the works.

I used a border die to create interest and add the pop of red. I coloured my holly leaves and berries with sharpie markers then used a white gel pen to give them some highlights.

I can't wait to introduce the friend that is joining me for Day 1 -

Shery Russ from STAMPlorations

Shery and I have a long history together. I joined her Design Team when her company was very new and I loved every moment of it. Shery and I are always in contact even though we are busy with our stamp companies and life. It's an awesome friendship.

Wow, this is one festive Christmas Card!!!! I love the presents and the die cut Merry Christmas!!

I have wonderful sponsors joining us!

Winners will be drawn at random :)

Thank you Shery for helping out with the inspiration today.

HLS December CAS Challenge

Goodness me! December and time for another HLS Challenge. Where does the time go!

Did you know that I am already planning my next retreat in the UK? If you are thinking you would like to join us in November 2017, please check out all the details HERE and register your interest. There will be TWO retreat locations in 2017! Manchester and Swindon. Plenty of ladies have already secured their spots so make sure you don't miss out!

Onto our CAS challenge -

Over the last 11 months we have had wonderful techniques and product challenges (with heaps of video tutorials to help you along)! For our December challenge we want you to choose one of our past challenges for your entry.

I went with Stencil Monoprint. At the HLS Craft Retreat last July, we had fun with Brushos and Darnell had a LOT of fun with stencils. When I got home I tried a heap of stencil techniques. In my video tutorial below, you will see how I use a stencil to begin with and then flip it over to create my stencil monoprint. It's heaps of fun!!

Firstly, here is my card

And here is my video tutoria -

There are HEAPS of video tutorials listed over at the HLS Blog. All 11 months worth of them!

Thanks so much for popping in today.

Emboss Resist with Especially for You

Hello! I hope you are all well and getting ready for the upcoming weekend?

Today I am sharing a card with you that is very easy to create.

I started with glossy cardstock and embossed my butterflies with white powder. I then smooshed the panel into Rose Red and Orange Brushos. Once dry, I used a baby wipe over the butterflies to reveal my embossing in more detail. This technique works especially well with glossy cardstock. When wiping over with the baby wipe, it doesn't remove the ink off the cardstock itself.

Tip: Be very careful when you stamp onto glossy cardstock as it is very easy to have your stamp move while pressing down. Take some time and you will get beautifully stamped images.

I embossed my sentiment as well.

I have used the new HLS set called Especially for You.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Less Is More - Challenge #304 - Emboss Resist Technique
Stampin' Royalty - Clean and Simple
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping by. Take care :)

Congrats!

Hi everyone! Did you know that Addicted to CAS is celebrating 4 years of challenges? Wow, I'm so excited. I would like to say a very special thank you to Barb who has been helping out behind the scenes. I would be lost without you, my friend.

The Design Teams over the last 4 years have just been incredible. A huge thank you to past and present designers. Without you, it just wouldn't happen!

I have made a card today to join in with the team :)

Unfortunately this photo doesn't do the card justice. The balloon is a very pretty pink. It looks more like a peach colour here...

I have used the new 'Simply Said' set from Happy Little Stampers.

There are lots of giveaways over at ATCAS so you best be over there and check it all out.

I am entering this card into these fabulous challenges -

Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes with a Sentiment
Southern Girls Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in :)

Happy Little Stampers New Release Blog Hop

Hello! I am one excited and happy little stamper right now. There is a new release at Happy Little Stampers and I can't wait to show you the cards I have made!

There are a quite a number of Designers participating in this blog hop and, yes, you have to visit them all and leave a comment to be in the chance to win. The prize is a $50 gift certificate to the HLS shop so it really is worth it!

You should have come straight from the post over at Happy Little Stampers. If you didn't - that's ok! There is a complete list at the bottom of my blog so you can start from the beginning. OR just keep on going through the list and work your way around.

I have started off by using - Especially for You
This is the perfect set for those special occasions.

I stamped my butterfly randomly with versamark ink and embossed them in white powder. I used 3 Brusho colours - Cobalt Blue, Turquoise, and Prussian Blue for the background. I used the ink smooshing technique for this one. I have combined two sets here - the sentiment is from the Simply Said set but more on that one next.

This was a very easy card to make. I stamped all my elements, coloured the heart with a red sharpie, then covered it with an obscene amount of glossy accents.

This set was inspired by my European Adventure back in July when I travelled over to the UK from Australia to host the inagural HLS Craft Retreat!

I really wanted to get the feeling of the girl walking away from the Eiffel Tower and just thankful for the experience. Just like I was :)
The background once again was created by smooshing Brushos.

I kept this card extremely simple. I stamped the tree, star, and sentiment then coloured in with my wink of stella pen. The added sparkle is really cute!

I embossed the background stamp onto watercolour paper and then smooshed the panel into Rose Red and Orange Brushos. I stamped my words, trimmed them down, and adhered them with foam tape for dimension.

For this card, I used some of my Brusho piece that I made at the HLS Craft Retreat back in July. I cut a couple of strips so I could use them as a border for my main panel. I stamped the umbrella, coloured it in, then covered it with glossy accents.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I created with the new release. Don't forget to leave some love in the comment section below then pop on to the next blog - Michelle Dees
